What is the plan for libraries in the future? I see libraries offering many more options but will a library still be a “library” like we once knew it?

Krystal,
This has been a year of strategic planning for the library system and this plan, once adopted will direct our future. I can assure you that the library will still be the library but you will see materials available for check out in different formats and our programs and services will be adjusted to fit the needs of our communities..but you will always find a library as a location to find a good book, space to study and read and access the internet, attend a variety of programs and classes. Knowledgable staff will be present when you need assistance and will be able to direct you to good reading choices when asked. I do tend to ramble about the libraries…thanks for asking. Melissa
